Папа, почему ты так часто вспоминаешь СССР?

Как-то сын спросил у отца:
— Папа, ну что ты так часто вспоминаешь СССР, ведь уже нет этой страны?
Отец призадумался и ответил:
— Скажи, сынок, вот если, не дай, Бог, Россия развалится на несколько независимых государств, и тебе вдруг выдадут паспорт Татарстана или Карелии ты будешь считать, что России больше нет?
— Да этого же не может быть! — выпалил сын.
— А почему ты решил, что нет СССР?
Призадумался сын. И снова спрашивает:
— Ну, хорошо. И что там, в СССР, могло быть такого, чего нет сейчас?
Отец отвечает:
— Представь, что ты живёшь в своём городе, и тебе нужно устроиться на работу. Ты приходишь на завод, а там на проходной – огромный перечень вакансий, на которые требуются работники. Ты идёшь в отдел кадров, и никакой придурковатый менеджер тебе не задаёт дурацких вопросов, не проводит тестов, не заставляет заполнять резюме. Есть специальность- милости просим, нет – научим, берут учеником. При этом тебе платят зарплату, и никаких испытательных сроков, ненормированных рабочих дней, невыплат зарплат или лишения отпуска. Не хочешь учеником на завод, иди на фабрику, в связисты, в дорожники, в водители, в торговлю, на шахту. И везде тебя ждут. И никто тебе не откажет и не упрекнёт, что «у нас за проходной очередь таких, как вы стоит». А можешь поехать по комсомольской путёвке на стройку – на Север или в Сибирь, получить бесплатно квартиру, увидеть всю страну, познакомиться с интереснейшими людьми со всех концов СССР, всех национальностей.
— Этого тоже не может быть…
— Может, сынок! Так было. И так ещё будет. Обязательно! Ты сможешь зайти в магазин, в котором банка икры стоит, например, рубль. Ты придёшь через месяц, а она стоит также рубль. Придёшь через год, а она уже стоит 90 копеек, а через два года – восемьдесят. Ты идёшь в ателье отремонтировать ботинки или брюки, и точно знаешь, сколько с тебя возьмут по прейскуранту цен. Ты идёшь в парикмахерскую, и точно знаешь, что её никто не закрыл, а хозяин не сбежал. Ты идёшь в милицию, и тебе не нахамят. Ты покупаешь билет на самолёт, и у тебя не требуют паспорт. Ты идёшь в спортзал, и с тебя никто не требует заплатить деньги за занятия спортом. Ты едешь на море, а твой профсоюз выдаёт тебе бесплатную оздоровительную путёвку. Твой завод производит продукцию, и твои коллеги никогда не забивают голову – куда её продать, потому что чётко работает плановая система госзаказа, распределения и учёта прибыли. И нет никаких олигархов, охранников на всех «вертушках», кучи банков, раздатчиков рекламы, попрошаек, а депутаты Верховного Совета СССР не сидят в Москве, а работают на своих предприятиях в своих городах и сёлах и не получают миллионы бюджетных денег.
— Я тебе не верю, папа…
— Вот когда поверишь, тогда всё это и будет восстановлено. Мысль порождает слово, слово порождает действие.
